Though we strive to keep the content you want to see, we acquire licensing rights for TV shows and movies for a certain period of time – not indefinitely – so some titles do leave Netflix. If a TV show or movie you love is leaving, it indicates that our licensing agreement with the content provider is about to end.
How long do Netflix Downloads stay for?
The duration of a downloaded show on Netflix is seven days or a week. Some titles will disappear after you play them after forty forty-eight hours. You can check the time left for a show you downloaded by entering the Downloads page and checking the time given beside the name of the title.
How do you know how long something is on Netflix?
Select the users icon (top right on computer, top left on mobile (inside the hamburger menu)), and select ‘Account’. Under the ‘My Profile’ section, select the ‘Viewing Activity’ option. Here you can see all the items you have ever watched on Netflix.
How do you get Netflix to stop deleting shows?
To do this on the app, click on the three dots stacked vertically, then go to “remove from row.” If you’re watching on TV, click on the show or movie and select “Remove from Continue Watching.” If you change your mind, you can select the back arrow to undo the removal.
Can you watch downloaded Netflix shows after they are removed?
You can watch a downloaded title as many times as you’d like before it expires. If a title has expired, you will need to renew it. Some titles may only be renewed a certain number of times. Titles that are no longer available on Netflix will expire when they leave the service, regardless of when they were downloaded.
